~Happy September My Friend~

I'm so happy you stopped by.

Every morning I get up and the back porch is covered in dead, dry leaves.  Oh my goodness....it is so hot and dry here.

I can't believe it's September already.  On a trip into town last week I saw pumpkins in someone's yard.

Good grief.....

Now don't get me wrong....I love Autumn....but I'm not sure I'm ready to say good-bye to summer.

The kids are back in school...woo hoo, and my tan has faded.....bummer.

I pulled out all of my Autumn and Halloween magazines and I'm really getting excited about stitching with some dark drab colors.

I just finished 2 projects that will be Brand New Patterns

~Guided by Virtue~ Sewing Purse

~Four & Twenty Blackbirds~ Wool Pocket Roll

I added them to my Patterns Page if you'd like to see them.

And I've been making things to take to the

~In the Spirit of Friends~ Show

at Malabar Farm

in Lucas, Ohio

September 18th  10-4

My very favorite thing to do is make finished pieces so I'm in hog heaven right now.  I have so many ideas.....we'll see how many things I can get done.

I hope to see you there.....I'll have some kits and patterns also.

In a little more than a month I'll be packing up and driving up to Wisconsin.

Boxwood & Berries 2010 is just around the corner.

I can't wait.....I get butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it.

This year there will be 2 sessions....

October 5th - 8th

and

October 9th -  12th

Barb & Alma from Blackbird Designs and Maggie Bonanomi will be back again this year and I know Jeanne has some great surprises in store for everyone.

Here are a couple of my projects:

~Jingle All the Way~ Pinkeep Drum & Hear Emery

~Heart Emery~

~Emily Deerfield's Sewing Roll~

There are still a few openings in each session so give the girls at the Country Sampler a call or e-mail
